RGL Forensics announced today that Simon P. Oddy ACA, has been promoted to Partner. Mr. Oddy is located in the New York office, one of RGL's 23 offices worldwide.
Mr. Oddy joined RGL in 1998. He spent the first 6 years of his career with the firm in the London office. In early 2004 he transferred to the New York office where he is now a Partner. He has handled engagements of various scopes and sizes for insurers and lawyers in North America, South America, Europe, Asia and Africa.
Mr. Oddy focuses his time on RGL’s fraud, insurance and liability claims cases. He is a member of RGL’s Fraud Committee, recent experience has seen him involved in mortgage fraud cases, vendor fraud schemes and fraud kickback schemes. Insurance related cases have focused on inventory loss and business interruption. Liability claims cases have included food manufacturing and distribution claims, breach of contract, medical products liability and construction defect liability cases. Mr. Oddy has also handled claims for the Pre Launch Satellite Business, Marine losses and the Jewelry and Precious stones industries. In addition to clients in the United States, Mr. Oddy works with clients in the London Insurance Market, Syndicates in Lloyds and handles cases globally.
Mr. Oddy has participated in seminars to clients on various topics including problem areas in business interruption and the fundamentals of employee dishonesty and financial institution bond claims. He has also presented on cyber risk insurance policies and product recall claims handling.
Mr. Oddy is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales and a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. In addition he has a Bachelor of Arts in Accountancy.
